The Eyre Bird Observatory hosts a number of courses designed to attract the interests of not only bird and nature lovers but anyone who enjoys remote, wild environments.
Our courses include, but are not limited to: bird identification, bird photography, field techniques in birding, dune conservation, and invasive weed control.
The observatory welcomes day visitors as well as overnight guests, year-round.
The Eyre Bird Observatory is located in the Nuytsland Nature Reserve, in the far south east of Western Australia, near Cocklebiddy, on some of Australia’s most remote coastline of The Great Australian Bight.
We have our own time zone! Eyre Bird Observatory runs one hour ahead of Perth.
The Cash for Containers program. This has had a great run so far with funds sent to Eyre Bird Observatory. Your 10c per container will be credited to the Eyre account when you use ID C10440107. All you need to do is put in the number instead of collecting cash and it goes to our bank account.
